Professional Tennis Coaching in Bali

Bali is still developing a professional environment regarding tennis coaching. When it comes to learning tennis in Bali, local coaches are still far behind in teaching their students fundamentals based on up-to-date teaching methods taught by tennis coaches in neighbouring Australia or especially in the USA and Europe.

But things are looking up lately since a few young coaches have taken steps in the right directions by joining PROFESSIONAL TENNIS REGISTRY certification in Singapore.

I Kadek Pursika, Kim Sven Kanginnadhi, Dewa Made Adnayana Putra and Sinuraya Widyotomo have established themselves as certified tennis coaches and instructors. Congratulations!

Besides the PTR certified coaches and instructors, Bali offers available coaching at the Canggu Club with Dutch Robbert Wille and at the BTA with Jordan R. Sanchez.

The Canggu Club Tennis Academy for children provides the only accredited Tennis program in Bali under expert tutelage and guidance of a professional team of experienced players, while the BTA's coaching program is entirely based on Jordan R. Sanchez.

P = Professional I = Instructor A = Associate Intructor

Professional - PTR Professional has successfully completed all five sections (written, skills, teaching, drills and error detection) of PTR's certification test with a grade of Professional on all sections, has an NTRP rating of at least 4.5 or higher (ITN – 5), is 21 years of age or older and has three years full-time teaching or five years of part-time experience.

Instructor - The Instructor has successfully completed all five sections of PTR's certification test with a grade of Instructor or higher on each of the sections, has an NTRP rating of at least 4.0 or higher (ITN – 6), is 18 years of age or older and has one year of full-time or three years part-time teaching experience.

Associate Instructor - The Associate Instructor has successfully completed all five sections of PTR's certification test with a grade of Associate Instructor or higher on each of the sections, has NTRP rating of 4.0 or higher (ITN – 6) and is 16 years of age or older.
