14-year-old Tami Grende from Bali is was selected for the U-16 Indonesian Junior Fed Cup team. On the way to qualify, Tami has defeated seven players without dropping a set. She has beaten Woyla Waluyo 6-2, 6-2, Idhun Safaati 6-1, 6-2, Suryaningsih 6-2, 6-2. Those three players were the top players in the selection.
The Indonesia team will play the Junior Fed Cup Finals qualification in Geelong, Australia on December 24 to 29 April. If the team wins, they will play the Final in Barcelona, Spain on 25-28 September 2012.
"I will try my best to win the Final qualification in Australia and help to bring the Red and White team to the Final in Spain" says Tami. Tami is now ranked 134 on the ITF Junior ranking and has a target to be ranked above 70, so she could play the Grand Slam this year.
